Mike Bryan - Roman Britain and Where to Find It

Cookham resident, Mike Bryan, co-author of 'Roman Britain and Where to Find It' will be looking at the best Roman villas, forts, walls and bath houses, as well as the hidden gems which the uninitiated might pass by. Stories in this lavishly illustrated talk include the ring and curse which inspired a best selling novel, the dig that provided the British Museum with some of it's most popular treasures, and sights that remain enigmatic - many within a day's trip from Cookham.
