Walk in the Footsteps of our Cookham Ancestors
Tuesday 5th May, 10am - 12 noon
Holy Trinity Church Tower
£5
Cookham has a long and fascinating history with, of course, much of it happening before we humans appeared. This two-hour walk takes us on a journey into the far distant past before bringing us not quite up to date with medieval Cookham.
We start at Holy Trinity church and the 8th century Abbey nearby before following in the steps of our earliest ancestors up the Thames valley, through landscapes of pre-human times, taking in Bronze Age burials and early medieval farming before we end on Cookham Moor in the village and its link to the early medieval common land of which this is a remnant.
Meet beneath Holy Trinity Church tower. Parking is available behind the nearby parish centre. Please ensure that you wear the appropriate clothing and footwear for the terrain and anticipated weather.

Tickets on sale March.
