SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA STRINGS

An exciting pot-pourri of popular classics played by the string section of Windsor & Maidenhead Symphony Orchestra and directed by their leader, Susie Henwood.

 

The programme will include well known pieces such as: 

 

- Pizzicato Polka by Léo Delibes from Sylvia (Ballet)
- Oblivion and Libertango by Piazzolla from Henry IV (Film) and The Tango Lesson
- Theme from ‘Cinema Paradiso‘ Ennio Morricone
- Waltz from Jazz Suite No.2 by Dimitri Shostakovich from Eyes Wide Shut
- Gabriel's Oboe by Ennio Morricone from The Mission
- Moon River by Henry Mancini from Breakfast at Tiffany’s (Film)
- Send in the Clowns by Stephen Sondheim from A Little Light Music (Musical)
- One Hand, One heart by Leonard Bernstein from West Side Story
- Por Una Cabeza by Carlos Gardel from The Scent of a Woman (Film) 

 

The concert will be 75 minutes long and refreshments will be served before and after the performance.
