Discover the Beauty of Cookham, just as Stanley Spencer did, and be in with a chance of winning great prizes along with other artists.

1st timer or seasoned En Plein air artist, All are welcome. Join in and get creative!
​
En plein air is a French expression meaning “in the open air”, and refers to the act of painting outdoors with the artist's subject in full view. Plein air artists capture the spirit and essence of a landscape or subject by incorporating natural light, colour and movement into their works.
​
Judges will be the renowned artist Mick McNicholas who will walk the village to give our artists feedback and tips during the day, Ann Danks Spencer Gallery Curator and 1 other.
​
Mick has exhibited in the National Portrait Gallery, The Venice Biennale, The Mall Galleries, and taken part in Sky Arts PAOTY.
After judging, the art will be on display to the public. We will invite the public to vote for their favourite.
The work will be available for sale on the day and from the website.
​
Participants will need to bring their own paper, canvas and art supplies. These will not be provided.
