Schools Cantata

A children's cantata, commissioned by the Cookham Festival and written by Cookham musician and composer Rob Castell, will be performed by children from all four local Primary schools.

​The Cantata is one of the Festival events under the theme 'Our Common Earth'.

 

This year's Cantata was inspired by the true story of the locals who fought to protect the Commons of Cookham hundreds of years ago. Through this story the children are being encouraged to think about their village and to learn from its past, celebrate the present and think about how they can protect its future.
