Unusual Views of The Cookhams
with Gary Spencer

A workshop for enthusiastic 1st timers, beginners, and more competent artists.

Working on canvas, using acrylic and other mediums as you choose. Gary will give a brief demonstration and then support and guide you through to a completed

Participants are asked to bring:

  • Canvas about A3 size to no bigger than 50cm

  • Your own favourite brushes acrylics, pastels etc.

  • Packed lunch

Tips to make the most of the workshop:
It's worth paying a little extra for better quality materials, good quality makes the process easier to learn. Hobbycraft is a good place to start.
You will need a canvas about A3 no bigger than 50cm.
Acrylic starter brush set. Suggest System 3.
Acrylic starter paint set. Suggest System 3.
Rag/kitchen paper
Gary can supply paint, palette for a small fee.

If you wish you can produce prints and or cards of your picture to sell on the final weekend of the festival. We can guide you through this process.


We are hoping all work produced will be on display in The Ferry, and if possible for sale from Tuesday 7th - Wednesday 15th May.
